SCREAMS FOR TINA: News

September 11, 2007

Getting late in (yet another) year, here... but LOTS going on for a change. First off, SFT is now available at MySpace Music. Among the other MP3s to listen to there, is a pounding version of The Cars hit 'Candy-O' which we recorded for a New Wave and 80's compilation that has yet to be released; as well as photos, an updated bio, and all the usual, groovy, band related stuff.

Speaking of change... Progress on the new album took an unexpected detour a few months ago when our mixing engineer went permanently A.W.O.L. on us... but, it's seemingly been all for the better and we're happy to announce that we're now finishing up the CD with the help of ex-Kommunity FK/Purr Machine bassist Kevin Kipnis; whose engineering talents are a bit more atuned with our sound and who has become a valued friend, as well.. BTW: Purr Machine's upcoming album is out now and comes highly recommended. Watch for it!

Another way cool release to look out for, is "Kaliffornian Deathrock" - a fantastic new compilation on Strobelight which chronicles the California deathrock scene from 1981-1996. It includes rare tracks by, (yours truly) SFT, Christian Death, 34 Vampires, Superheroines, Deathride 69 and many others... 16 bands in all !!! The package comes with a 24-page booklet featuring an extensive 12 page history of the deathrock scene written by Thomas Thyssen, as well as: rare ads, photos, flyers, quotes and related info... all from the fantastic, early days of the deathrock scene in California! AVAILABLE: FALL 2006. IT'S KILLER !!!

That's all to report at this time and enough to sink your teeth into for a spell. Now... head on over to our MY SPACE MUSIC page and, if you haven't already... request to be our f***ing friend!!! See you there...

Until...
